Civic Involvement

My love for this city and our District 1 community runs deep. It can be found in my volunteer work within the city of Galveston and throughout Galveston County. Serving others and ensuring the underserved are heard is one of the life lessons I’m most proud of. My servant leadership can be found in the many ways I have actively served and supported my community and others:

• Awarded nearly $70,000 in scholarships to Ball High School students from the GPA
• Awarded $200,000 in grants for local Juneteenth Initiatives via Park Board of Trustees
